i had fun taking some images from my mom’s garden while visiting in ohio .. her backyard is just gorgeous and so peaceful! these are of the white hydrangea .. i think its called an oakleaf hydrangea .. but i could be wrong. found a few friends in the first couple of images ..

and i loved the water droplets left over from the rain the night before …

meet “goofball”plymouth wildlife(?) photography

she (or he?) looks like an ordinary yellow finch .. right? well i’m telling you right now goofball is definitely not ordinary!

each day, several times a day, for the past few weeks this little one has been trying to fly into our house!! i have never seen anything like it at all!

she lands on the deck rail right outside our kitchen window and proceeds to fly into the window. again and again and again. in fact, she is out there right now tapping on the window at this very moment!! i just had to try and capture this so i got out my camera and had some fun .. i ended up using manual focus as she was just way too fast for autofocus.

you almost feel sorry for her in that last picture don’t you!

just returned from a trip down to Key West and thought I’d share some of the images I took while down there. unfortunately the weather was about 15 degrees cooler than normal .. but i still had a fabulous time. always good to get away and refresh .. and i always enjoy taking these types of photos!

these were taken at the butterfly conservatory .. enjoy!

these were taken at fort taylor .. inside the fort .. loved all the texture on these ..

this was taken at hemingway’s house .. one of the 6-toed cats that were all over the place ..

and finally one from the beach .. this was my companion that kept trying to take my snack right from out of my hand!

at least that’s what these are to me .. i can take one whiff of lilacs and it brings me back (waaay back!) to when i was younger and playing and running through the neighborhood with the sweet smell of lilacs and spring .. so it was a treat when my oldest daughter brought these home today after school for me!

now if i could only figure out how to take “scratch and sniff” images .. enjoy!

OK .. seriously my girls crack me up .. they were playing with Trixie (our guest) and came to show me this. I just HAD to take a photo of the little model!

She seems to think highly of herself here doesn’t she

I know the girls have some Build-A-Bear pajamas .. I wonder what I’ll find tonight before she goes to bed!

Today after volunteering in my oldest daughter’s classroom I headed over to Wayzata to pick up Miss Trixie. Not to keep .. she’s just visiting for a few days. This is the 3rd or 4th time we’ve watched her and the kids just love her to death. They get their dog fix and I get someone to keep me company (and photograph of course!) during the day. Total win-win situation
